Octavious Brown, a rising Junior at Strom Thurmond High School, recently attended the University of Georgia Football Camp on June 7- June 10.

Rodney Gardner UGA’s Defensive Line coach stated, “I’m very impressed with Octavious he has great foot work and he is tremendoulsy strong for his age.”

Other coaches compared him to Gino Atkins. Atkins is a senior defensive tackle for the Bulldogs. Octavious, known locally as “Tater”, is 6 feet tall, weighs 264 lbs, and bench presses 335 lbs. Tater will play a vital role in the Rebels degense this upcoming season.

Octavious commented, “I really enjoyed the camp I learned a lot, it was an eye opening experience. I would like to thank, Mr. Timothy Johnson and Errol Thomas for making this experience possible.”

Mr. Errol Thomas is co-founder Choices-A Lifetime Development (CHOICES-LTD), 501c3, a public service nonprofit organization that aims to encourage, motivate, and inspire the youth so that they may become more productive citizens by promoting academic, social, and spiritual BALANCE. Mr. Timothy Johnson is the Athletic Director; his role includes mentoring student athletics.
