CHOICES-A LifeTime Development, Inc. is hosting its 3rd annual scholarship-appreciation banquet for college-bound Seniors, Community “Unsung” Heroes, and Roddy White (#84), starting Wide Receiver for the Atlanta Falcons.

During this banquet, Roddy White will be shown appreciation for choosing CHOICES as his charity for the 2008-2011 football seasons and co-sponsoring nearly 1,000 youth to Atlanta Falcons games. Mr. Corey L. Chavous, Former Silver Bluff HS, Vanderbilt and 12-year NFL Football standout will be the keynote speaker. There will be five $1,000 scholar awards presented to college-bound Seniors from Aiken HS, Lakeside HS, Butler HS, and James Island Charter HS.

Additionally, there will five Community Heroes honored during this event – Rev. Dr. Nathaniel Irvin (Old Storm Branch); Mr. Michael Dean Perry (Aiken HS, Clemson, NFL All-Pro DE); Pastor Philip Lee (Cedar Creek Church); Mrs. Velvet Perry (CEO Perry Broadcasting, Inc.); Mrs. Pam Anderson (Director University Breast Health Center).

The banquet will be held on Sunday evening, June 26, 2010 at 6 p.m. at the North Augusta Community Center. The facility is located at 495 Brookside Avenue, North Augusta, SC 29841 (across from old Police Station off Buena Vista). Ticket donations are $40 per individual or $320 (per Table of 8). The proceeds from these events will go to support scholarships for college-bound students and youth activities which promote and encourage positive growth and development.

CHOICES just completed its 2nd year of workshops at the 2nd Annual Roddy White Football Camp in Charleston, S.C. last week at James Island Charter HS. Choices Staff facilitated the classroom workshops on Life Lessons (Self-Esteem, Assertive Communication, Personal Hygiene, Academic Transitions) for over 300 boys and girls. This year they were joined by several NFL greats at the camp – Roddy White, Michael Jenkins, Ovie Mughelli, Harry Douglas (ATL), Fabian Washington (BALT), Larry Fitzgerald (ARZ), and Michael Vick (PHI).
