The University of South Carolina Aiken announces its Spring 2009 Graduates.
Two hundred sixty students received degrees. Students graduating with honors are denoted to the right of their name. Honors – for bachelor’s degrees only – are based on a cumulative grade point average (GPA) calculated on the basis of all work in the student’s college career, including any transferred from other institutions. The honors shown for the Spring 2009 graduates indicate the following levels of academic achievement:

A cumulative GPA of 3.95­–4.0 is designated as summa cum laude.
A cumulative GPA of 3.75–3.94 is designated as magna cum laude.
A cumulative GPA of 3.50–3.74 is designated as cum laude.
