AIKEN – Twenty-two graduates of Aiken Technical College’s nursing program will earn their pins in the ATC Amphitheater July 29 at 3 p.m., many of them from Edgefield County. The pinning ceremony will feature speeches from Valedictorian Danielle Meador and Salutatorian Inmaculada Davis.
As is traditional, each graduate has chosen someone to “pin them” in front of their peers. In addition to pins, one graduate will earn the Tradition of Caring Award. This honoree is nominated by fellow classmates for having shown exceptional proficiency and empathy in the nursing profession. The winner will be revealed at the ceremony.
“Most students already have new jobs lined up after graduation,” said Susan Kronberg, an ATC Nursing Instructor. “If they don’t it’s because they are already practicing where they want to work.”
The proceedings should last about an hour, and the public is invited to attend.
