Angela Griffin named Bus Driver of the Quarter

The Transportation Department of the Edgefield County School District held a recognition program on December 4 to honor seventeen bus drivers for having perfect attendance for the first quarter of this school year.

The drivers received a certificate and award from Tanja Bryan, Supervisor of Transportation and Mr. James Courtney, Director of Transportation.

The drivers were commended for their dedication to their job and the important role they perform every day in the operations of the school district by transporting children to and from school.
Transportation employees recognized were:

Sheron Bibbs, Paris Cothran, Gloria Curry, Patricia Garrett, Brenda Gilliam, Debra Glanton, Vernell Goodwin, Angela Griffin, Jeanette Brown, Shirley Johnson, Karen Malone, James Mathis, Terry McKie, Evelyn Mitchell, Deleasha Rodgers, Mary Tillman, Debra Williams, Jeffrey Bryan, Denise Cobb, John Henry Jackson, Rosa Mims, Blanche Roper, Johnnie Mae Williams and Catherine Wooten.

Ms. Angela Griffin was announced as the Bus Driver of the Quarter.

To be eligible for Bus Driver of the Quarter a driver must have perfect attendance. These perfect attendance driver's names are submitted to the principals in the district who use a checklist to select one driver that best meets the criteria of the Bus Driver of the Quarter Award.
