Mr. Willie M. Carter, 75, of Murrah Road in North Augusta, died Friday, May 14, 2010 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 20, at 2 p.m. at Old Macedonia Baptist Church, with the Rev. Limuer Myers officiating.

Mr. Carter, a native of Birmingham, Ala., was a member of Old Macedonia Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Thurmond Carter; a daughter, Doris L. Reid, Jamaica, NY; four grandchildren, Dorian S. Reid, New York, N.Y., Malcolm B. (Icelean) Rhymer, Bronx, N.Y., Asar P. Rhymer and Rasheedah A. Rhymer, Jamaica, N.Y.; a great granddaughter, Ivanni Rhymer, Bronx, N.Y.; brothers-in- law, David (Pearcie) Mims, Wali (Marvel) Bilal, Philadelphia, Pa., James (Nettie) Thurmond, John Lee Thurmond, Hubert (Earnestine) Thurmond, Vernon Thurmond and Donald Thurmond, North Augusta, Ronald Mims, Charlotte, N.C.; sisters-in-law, Bernice (Lannice) Fryer, North Augusta, Mattie Carr, Philadelphia, Pa., Joann Curry and Elaine Lyons, North Augusta; and a host of other relatives.
