Willie J. Young

Mr. Willie J. Young, 53, of Academy Estate Road in Trenton, died Sunday, May 10, 2009 at the V.A. Medical Center in Augusta, Ga.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 13, at 4 p.m. at Science Hill Missionary Baptist Church, with the Rev. G.L. Brightharp officiating. Burial was in the Old Science Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Young was a member of Science Hill Baptist Church in Trenton.
Survivors include his wife, Tina Young; three daughters, Teairia Harris, Natalie Williams and Deloris Harris, all of Trenton; four sons, Demarkus Young, Travis Young, Willie J. Young Jr., all of Trenton, and Gabriel Harris, North Augusta; father, Press Elam, Edgefield; eight sisters, Mary Catherine (George) McKie, Brenda Young, both of North Augusta, Gwenda (Donald) Owens, Lisa (Isaac) Quattlebaum, both of Aiken, Yolanda Young, Tabitha (Jeff) Weaver, both of Edgefield, Carolyn Elam and Diane Elam, both of Washington, D.C.; six brothers, Ronnie (Veronica) Elam, Melvin (Michelle)Elam, Larry Elam, Leon Elam, all of Maryland, Eric Stroman, Columbia, and Ronald (Peggy) Young, of Virginia; 14 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives.
G.L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary, North Augusta, was in charge of arrangements.
