Mrs. Thomasina Bouknight, 93, of Lincoln Avenue in Aiken, died Monday, Aug. 14, 2009 in Myrtle Beach.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Aug. 29, at 2 p.m. at Shaws Creek Baptist Church, Trenton, with the Rev. R.C. Holloway officiating. Burial was in Aiken Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Bouknight was a member of Shaws Creek Baptist Church where she was a member of the Sanctuary Choir, Deaconess Board, Pastors Aide Club and the Missionary Society.

She also was a member of National Education Association, Bettis Academy Heritage Preservation Team, president of Edgefield County Teachers Association and a volunteer at Aiken Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include her husband, Andrew R. Bouknight; two daughters, Jacqueline (Richard) Rose, Atlanta, Ga., and Zanthia(Randall) Hazel, Aiken; a brother, Hickman Holmes Sr., Dingsman Ferry, Pa.; two grandchildren; and a host of other relatives.

G.L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary, Aiken, was in charge of arrangements.
