Stanley Oliphant

Mr. Stanley Oliphant, 50, of Simmons Road in Edgefield, died Saturday, June 27, 2009 at Edgefield County Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 2, at 2 p.m. at Republican Grove Baptist Church, with the Rev. Willie Patten officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Oliphant, a native of Edgefield County, was a member of Trinity Community Church.
Survivors include his wife, Linda M. Oliphant; five sisters, Mildred (George) Brown, Columbia, Shirley (David) Mealing, Judy (Joseph) Hoggs, Sharon (Curtis) Bibbs and Gloria (Kelvin) Buggs, all of Edgefield; a sister-in-law, Brenda (William) Singleton, Edgefield; four aunts, Rosa Lee Oliphant, Edgefield, Alma Oliphant, Charlotte, N.C., Bessie Oliphant, Washington, D.C., Hattie Perry, N.Y.; and a host of other relatives.
G.L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary, Edgefield, is in charge of arrangements.
