Funeral arrangements for Mrs. Rosa Bell Abney-Brown were held Sunday, March 8, 2009 at 3 p.m. at Shaws Creek Baptist Church, with the Rev. R.C. Holloway, pastor, and the Rev. Deloris Marshall, eulogist, officiating.

Burial was in the church cemetery.

Survivors include a son, James Thomas (Gloria) Abney, Aiken; a sister, Lillie Bell (Johnny) Abney-Williams, Aiken; three nieces; seven nephews; four grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
