Funeral services for Mr. Melvin Bryant, of Johnston, were held Monday, March 23, 2009 at 2 p.m. at Rosa Spring Baptist Church, with the Rev. Winston Oliphant, pastor, officiating.

Burial was in Mt. Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery.

Survivors include a son, Melvin J. Bryant; two daughters, Dariell Eskridge and Michelle Bryant; four brothers, Luther Bryant, Nathaniel Bryant, Ronnie Bryant and Johnny “Tony” Bryant; four sisters, H. Marie Williams, Delane Bryant, Yvonne Nicholson and Johnny Mae Dobbs; 11 grandchildren; and three uncles.

Amos & Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
