Mrs. Mary Oliphant Weaver, 68, of Crest Road in Edgefield, died Sunday, April 5, at Ascension Hospice House in Irmo.

Funeral services were held Friday, April 10, at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, with the Rev. S.K. Lewis officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Weaver, a native of Edgefield County, was a retired educator. She received a bachelor of arts degree from Benedict College in Columbia. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include a sister, Josephine O. (William) Richardson, Columbia; a niece, Jacinta (Elijah) Bazemore; two nephews, Daryl (Charmaine) Richardson and Albert Oliphant Jr.; and a host of other relatives.

G.L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary, Edgefield, was in charge of arrangements.
