Mary Lou Curry Stringer

Mrs. Mary Lou Curry Stringer, 71, of Church Road in Augusta, Ga., died Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at University Hospital.
Funeral services were held Saturday, June 6, at 11 a.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses Augusta Central Congregation, with Brother Willie F. Hughes officiating. Burial was in Sunset Gardens Memorial Park in Johnston.
Mrs. Stringer, a native of Edgefield County, was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses Augusta Central Congregation.
Survivors include her husband, Henry Stringer Jr.; a daughter, Gwendolyn (Willie) Baker, Augusta; six sons, William Stringer, Ronnie (Denise) Stringer, Augusta, Larry Stringer, Danny Stringer, Belvedere, Michael (Edwina) Stringer and Douglas Stringer, Hephzibah, Ga.; five sisters, Mary Oliphant, Carrie Butler, Washington, D.C., Hattie Simpkins, Alice Dobey and Martha Curry, Edgefield; two brothers, Henry Curry Sr., Trenton, and Willie Curry, Winston, N.C.; sister-in-law, Rosetta Stringer, Augusta; 14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
G.L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary, North Augusta, was in charge of arrangements.
