Mary A. Harris

Mrs. Mary A. Harris, 73, of Harris Family Circle in Trenton, died Sunday, May 24, 2009 at the Medical College of Georgia.
Funeral services were held Sunday, May 31, at 3 p.m. at Mt. Canaan Baptist Church, with the Rev. Willie Patten officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Harris was a member of Republican Grove Baptist Church, Edgefield, and a member of the Senior Choir. Survivors include four daughters, Gloria Simpkins, Teresa Harris, Gwendolyn Myers, all of Trenton, and Shirley Harris, North Augusta; a son, Curtis (Willie Mae) Harris and stepson, Marty (Valeria) Glover, both of Trenton;  a sister, Myrtis Smith of Aiken; four brothers, Roger (Bertha) Smith, New York, Earl (Gwen) Smith of Trenton, Albert (Mae Frances) Smith of Florence, and Joe (Myrtis) Smith of Columbia; 22 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives.
G.L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary, Edgefield, was in charge of arrangements.
