Mary Elizabeth Dugar

Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Dugar, 101, of Horry Street in Aiken, died Friday, June 11, 2010 at the UniHealth Powst Acute Care of Aiken (Mattie C. Hall Center).

She was the wife of the late Mark Anthony Dugar.

Funeral services were held Thursday, June 17, at 11 a.m. at Second Baptist Church in Aiken, with the Rev. Douglas A. Slaughter officiating. Burial was in Aiken Memorial Gardens.

Before relocating to Aiken in 1942, Mrs. Dugar was a resident of Edgefield. She was a faithful member of Second Baptist Church and a member of the Smith Hazel Community Center Seniors Group.

She is survived by a son, Luther Dugar, Aiken; three grandchildren, Robert “Bobby” Dugar, Jamaica Queens, N.Y., Mark Anthony (Shunte) Dugar, North Augusta, and Keith Pixley, Aiken; four great-grandchildren, Tiffany (Kersem) Dugar-Williams and Mark Dugar, all of Jamaica Queens, N.Y.; Jalen and Myles Dugar, both of North Augusta; a great-great-grandchild, Kelma Dugar, Jamaica Queens, N.Y.; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Miller’s Funeral Home, Aiken, was in charge of arrangements.
