Minister Mary E. Mitchell Turner
Minister Mary E. Mitchell Turner, of W.A. Reel Drive in Edgefield, died Saturday, Jan. 17, 2009 at Saluda Nursing & Rehab Center.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Jan. 23, at noon, at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Edgefield, with the Rev. Edward Lloyd officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Minister Turner, a native of Edgefield County, was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.
Survivors include four daughters, Dorothy Dunn, Edgefield, Martha L. Williams, Augusta, Ga., Mary (Charles) Brightharp, Trenton, and Elizabeth Wheeler, Florence; four sons, Leroy (Linda) Turner Sr., Willie (Janice) Turner, Trenton, Robert Lee (Gail) Turner Jr., Ridge Spring, and Calvin (Angela) Turner, Sumter; two sisters, Minister Annie Mae Butler and Sarah Hamilton, Edgefield; two brothers, the Rev. Samuel (Roberta) Mitchell Jr., Baltimore, Md., and the Rev. Luke (Laura) Mitchell, Aiken; nine sisters-in-law; eight brothers-in-law; 17 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call at the residence of Mary (Charles) Brightharp, 120 Jacob McKie Road, Trenton.
TG.L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary, North Augusta, is in charge of arrangements.
