Mrs. Margaret S. Herlong, of Johnston, died Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at Edgefield County Hospital.

Funeral services were held Friday, March 27, at 11 a.m. at Harmony United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Rebecca Shirley officiating.

Mrs. Herlong was a lifelong resident of Johnston (the Harmony Community) and was a lifelong member of Harmony United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her daughters, Anna Timmerman (John) and Leona McAloney ; grandchildren, Jeff Yonce (Rhonda), Mark Yonce,  Gregg Yonce (Allyson), Allyson English (Mark), John Crafton Timmerman, Leslie Alderman, Michele Goforth (David), Meg Quick (Tommy), Karen Hill (Craig); and 18 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Herlong, and daughter, Jeannette Yonce.
