Mrs. Louise Jordan Quarles, 84, of Johnston, wife of the late John E. Quarles, died Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at Trinity Mission Health & Rehab.

Funeral services were held Friday, March 6, at 2 p.m. at Philippi Baptist Church in Johnston. Burial was in Sunset Gardens Memorial Park.

Mrs. Quarles was born in Edgefield County and was a member of Philippi Baptist Church. She was a retired textile worker and a homemaker.

Survivors include two daughters, Linda Q. Chrisco, Edgefield, and Sandra Q. Bledsoe, Johnston; two sisters, Leon Ready, Aiken, and Ellie Key, North Augusta; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
