John Henry Mims III

Mr. John Henry Mims III, 70, of Ridge Road in North Augusta, died Thursday, May 21, 2009.
Funeral services were held Saturday, May 23, at 4 p.m. at Mims Grove Baptist Church, with the Rev. Limuer Myers officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Mr. Mims, a native of Aiken County, was a member and deacon of Mims Grove Baptist Church. He was also a member of Simmon Lodge 3A and the Old Macedonia Male Chorus.
Survivors include his wife, Endia Mims; eight children, Argentina Mims, North Augusta, Mary (Milledge) Callaham, Trenton, Herbert Mims, North Augusta, Henry James (Machell) Mims, Graniteville, Jonathan (Katrina) Mims, Augusta, Ga., Marilyn Mims, John Allen (Kimberly) Mims and Marcus Mims, North Augusta; three sisters, Annie M. Bell, New Haven, Conn., Willie Joe (Alex) Merriweather, North Augusta, and Juanita Mims, Augusta; a brother, Frank Mims, Augusta; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives.
