Jennetta Bridges Adams

Funeral Services for Mrs. Jennetta Bridges Adams, 80, of Spring Haven Drive, North Augusta, who died Jan. 12, 2009, were conducted Thursday, Jan. 15, at 2 p.m. at Big Stevens Creek Baptist Church.

The Rev. Eric Burton, Dr. Paul W. Noe and Mr. Jerry A. Garvin officiated. Burial was in Sweetwater Cemetery.

Mrs. Adams was a native of Richmond County, Ga., having made North Augusta her home for the past 68 years. She was a member of Big Stevens Creek Baptist Church, the Saintly Sages and the Women's Missionary Union. Mrs. Adams was the wife of the late Epps J. Adams, Jr. and the daughter of the late Hugh and Mable Bridges.

Survivors include her four daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Lewis Black, Belvedere, Helen and Jerry Garvin, Trenton, Trish and Rodney Ingle, North Augusta, Genia and Roy Blackwell, Clarks Hill; a brother, Joel V. Bridges, Clarks Hill; a sister, Naomi B. James, Grovetown; eight grandchildren, Chris Black, Dee Brady, Noelle Etheridge, Lauren Sherdian, Aaron Ingle, Leia Mattson, Matthew Blackwell and Christin Blackwell; two great-grandchildren, Justin Black and Alyssa Brady; and a sister-in-law, Videssa A. Yates, North Augusta.

Honorary Pallbearers were Mrs. Adams' caregivers.

Active pallbearers were Chris Black, Aaron Ingle, Matthew Blackwell, Ryan Brady, Bobby Sheridan, Cliff Etheridge, Joel Mattson and Rick Doyle.

Posey Funeral Directors of North Augusta was in charge of arrangements.
