Harold ‘Buddy’ Baker Robinson Sr.

Mr. Harold “Buddy” Baker Robinson Sr., 85, of Evans, Ga., died Monday, May 4, 2009 in University Hospital in Augusta, Ga.
Funeral services were held Friday, May 8, at 11 a.m. at Bellevue Memorial Gardens Chapel with Dr. L. Gordon Robinson officiating. Burial was Bellevue Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Robinson was born in Augusta, Ga. After graduation from Richmond Academy, he played semi-pro baseball. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He returned to Georgia and worked for the Augusta Police Department for 25 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, H. Buddy (Peggy) Robinson Jr., Ronald (Glenda) Robinson, Gregory (Denise) Robinson; two sisters, Evelyn Faulkner, Huntsville, Ala., and Margaret Padgett, Edgefield; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife of 64 years, Willie Belle Sauls Robinson.
Thomas L. King Funeral Home, Martinez, Ga., was in charge of arrangements.
