Hamp Culbreath Jr.

Mr. Hamp Culbreath Jr., 73, of Seymour Drive in North Augusta, died Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2009 at Veterans Administration Medical Center in Augusta, Ga.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 13, at 2 p.m. at Republican Grove Baptist Church in Edgefield, with the Rev. Willie Patten officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Mr. Culbreath was a member of Republican Grove Baptist Church and was a member of American Legion Post #232.

Survivors include his wife, Deborah Culbreath; three daughters, Mary Bowman, Atlanta, Ga., Teresa (Howard) Johnson, M.D. and Lectoria (Karelle) Sullivan, North Augusta; sons, Curtis Culbreath, Anthony Graham, both of Washington, D.C., Wayne Bowman, Augusta, Allen Culbreath and Demond Sullivan, Beech Island; a sister, Ruby Floyd, Brooklyn, N.Y.; two brothers, Oscar Robinson, North Augusta, and Johnnie Jones Jr., Graniteville,; 30 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives.

G.L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary, Aiken, was in charge of arrangements.
