G. Glenn Harling

Mr. G. Glenn Harling Sr., 84, of Johnston, husband of Millie Watson Harling,  died Monday, Sept. 13, 2010 at Aiken Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Sept. 16, at 4 p.m. at Johnston First Baptist Church, with burial in McKendree United Methodist Church Cemetery in Edgefield.

Mr. Harling was born in Edgefield County and was a member of Johnston First Baptist Church. He was a Navy veteran of World War  II and a Mason. He was a retired public accountant and was retired Probate Judge of Edgefield County.

In addition to his wife, survivors include three sons, Kenneth W. Harling, Sylva, N.C., G. Glenn (Bud) Harling Jr., Bakersville, N.C., Bruce M. Harling, Ward; three daughters, Glenda H. Reynolds, Edgefield, Cheryl Harling Stewart, Edgefield, Deborah (Debbo) Harling Lackore, Columbia; 11 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Mr. Harling was predeceased by his first wife, Joyce Hill Harling, and a son, Michael Rembert Harling.
Edgefield Mercantile Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
