Franklin ‘Frank’ Eugene Mitchell

Mr. Franklin “Frank” Eugene Mitchell, 60, husband of Gloria McClendon Mitchell, of Lakewood Drive in Prosperity, died Monday, May 25, 2009 at Newberry County Hospital.
Memorial services were conducted Thursday, May 28, at 3 p.m. at Poplar Springs Baptist Church, Ware Shoals, with the Rev. Dr. Bruce Ostrom and the Rev. Eddie Bledsoe officiating.
He was born in Greenwood County, a son of Mildred Davis Mitchell Woodham of Ware Shoals and the late Claude H. Mitchell. He was a medical technician at Newberry County Hospital and a member of the American Society of Clinical Labs. He was a member of Still Water Baptist Church and had served in the Marines.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by a nephew, Josh Mitchell, Laurens; a great-nephew, Carter Mitchell, Laurens; and his loving canine pet, Sadie.
He was predeceased by his brother, Ron Mitchell.
