Billy Cockrell

Mr. Billy Cockrell, 71, of Monetta, died Thursday, Jan. 15, 2009.

Funeral services were held Sunday, Jan. 18, at 2:30 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church, with burial in Ridge Crest Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Mark Collins officiated.

Mr. Cockrell was born in Monetta, son of the late Clarence Cockrell and Furmell Long Cockrell. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and was retired from Michelin Tire Company.

Surviving are his wife, Carolyn Bobie Cockrell; son and daughter-in-law, Billy Randy and Edith Cockrell, Saluda; daughter and son-in-law, Reia Marilyn and John Rodney Kinard, Saluda; brother and sister-in-law, Ray and Diana Cockrell, Batesburg; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
