Armand Jordan

Mrs. Armand Jordan, 77, of Johnston, died Thursday, June 25, 2009.
Graveside services were held Sunday, June 28, at 3:30 p.m. at Philippi Baptist Church Cemetery in Johnston, with the Rev. Ken Smith officiating. Honorary pallbearer was George Kenneth Mason.
Mrs. Jordan was born in Johnston, the daughter of the late Sumpter Eugene Powell and Addie Willing Powell. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Leesville. She was married to the late Luther William Jordan. She enjoyed fishing and meeting people. She retired from Union Switch & Signal in Batesburg.
Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law, Larry (Connie) Jordan, Ridge Spring, Melvin (Norma) Jordan, Johnston, and Thomas Jordan, Batesburg; grandchildren, Kristie J. Harrell, Krystle J. Hallman and Gary Stone; and five great-grandchildren.
Milton Shealy Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
