Annie Mae Simpkins
Mrs. Annie Mae Simpkins, 91,
of Mims Street in Edgefield, died Friday, Jan. 30, 2009 in Ridge Spring.
Funeral services were held
Tuesday, Feb. 3, at 1 p.m. at Liberty Spring Baptist Church, with the Rev.
Annette Edwards officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Simpkins, a native of
Edgefield County, was a member of Liberty Spring Baptist Church.
Survivors include three
daughters, Janie Mae Dixon, Edgefield, Yvonne (L.D.) Walker, Ridge Spring, and
Ellen Cunningham, McCormick; a son, Joe Louis “Billy” (Lillie Ruth) Jones,
Greenwood; sister-in-law, Bernice Morgan, Edgefield; brother-in-law, Franklin
(Susie Bell) Simpkins, Edgefield; 14 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; 31
great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives.

Mortuary, Edgefield, is in charge of arrangements.
