Mr. Albert Lewis "Bubba" Harris, 66, of Fairway Drive in Edgefield, husband of Jessica Eggers Harris, died Thursday, Jan. 8, 2009 at University Hospital in Augusta, Ga.

A memorial service was held Saturday, Jan. 10, at 6 p.m. at Edgefield Mercantile Funeral Home.

Mr. Harris was born in Edgefield and was a member of Edgefield United Methodist Church. He was retired from South Carolina Electric and Gas. He was a past master of the Concordia Lodge #50 and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

In addition to his wife, survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Charlotte and Robert L. Lewis Jr., Columbia; a son and daughter-in-law, James and Maria Flores Harris, Boone, N.C.; four grandchildren, Liam Hoback, Erin Hoback, Ryan Hoback and Robert L. Lewis III; a brother, George A. Harris Jr., Lexington; two sisters, Addie Lou Russell, Edgefield, and Lula Mae Lessard, Lincolnton, Ga.
