Freddie L. Abney
Mr. Freddie L. Abney, 71, of Hugh Street in North Augusta, died Saturday, Dec. 25, 2010.
Funeral services were held Friday, Dec. 31, at Old Macedonia Baptist Church, with the Rev. Limeur Myers officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Survivors include his children, grandchildren and other relatives.

Mattie B. Dandy
Funeral services for Mrs. Mattie B. Dandy, of Trenton, were held Friday, Dec. 31, 2010 at Shaws Creek Baptist Church, with the Rev. R. C Holloway, pastor, officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Walter Dandy; daughters, Denise Dandy, Trenton, and Shineda (Warren) Chinn, Johnston; sons, James (Bobbie) Dandy, Douglas (Brenda) Dandy, both of Graniteville, Wilson Dandy, Aiken, Bennie (Bessie) Dandy and Don (Janice) Dandy, both of Trenton, and Brian (LaTonya) Dandy, North Augusta; brothers, James (Floia) Kemp and Holloway Kemp, both of Aiken; and sisters, Louise (David) Settles, Johnston, and Eddie Mae (James) Settles, Trenton; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

W. Briggs Hamilton
Funeral services for Mr. W. Briggs Hamilton, 91, of Carolina Avenue in North Augusta, who died Jan. 1, 2011, will be conducted Wednesday, Jan. 5, at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of North Augusta. Dr. Gary C. Redding will officiate. Burial will be in Pineview Memorial Park with veterans honors. Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Curt Menger Sunday School Class and the Jesse C. Lynch Memorial American Legion Post #71. Active Pallbearers will be Alan Buck, David Buck, Ken Millett, Rod Bradley, Edward Hamilton, Theo Hamilton and Jacky Jackson.
Mr. Hamilton was a native of Edgefield County, having made North Augusta his lifelong residence. He was a member of First Baptist Church of North Augusta where he served as an usher and was a member of the former M. P. Campbell Sunday School Class and the Sheffield Club. After 43 years of employment, Mr. Hamilton retired in 1984 from the Atlanta Gas Light Company as a service supervisor and was a member of the Gold Flame Retirement Club. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II having served in the Pacific and was a member of the Jesse C. Lynch Memorial American Legion Post #71.. Survivors include his daughters, Jean Millett, Winston-Salem, N.C., and Judy Buck, North Augusta; four grandchildren, Kerri Millett Bradley and her husband Rod, Ken Millett, Alan Buck and his wife Lauren, and David Buck and his wife Nancy; and four great-grandchildren.
Mr. Hamilton was predeceased by his wife of 61 years, Dorothy Atkinson Hamilton; three brothers, L. H. Hamilton, Winslow Hamilton and Ted Hamilton; and two sisters, Gladys Timmerman and Florence Jackson..

Gracie Jamison
Funeral services for Ms. Gracie Jamison, of Johnston, were held Monday, Dec. 27, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. at Amos & Sons Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Mt. Canaan Baptist Church Cemetery.
She is survived by a daughter, Essie M. Weaver Dublin, Johnston; three brothers, Nathaniel (Jeanette) Jamison, Aiken, Elijah Jamison, Florida, and Abraham Jamison, Georgia; sisters, Martha Hawkins and Ida Mae Jamison, both of Neeses; two grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Beatrice Salley Lott
Funeral services for Mrs. Beatrice Salley Lott, 91, of Johnston, were held Sunday, Jan. 2, 2011 at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Trenton at 3 p.m. Burial was in Mt. of Olives Cemetery in Johnston.
Mrs. Lott, a native of Neeses, died Friday, Dec. 31. She was a daughter of the late John Anthony and Alaven Fogle Salley. Mrs. Lott retired from Riegel, Inc and for a number of years had worked in Edgefield County School District with the Grandparents Foster Program and was affectionately known as "Granny". She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School.
Survivors include a daughter, Marian L. Trotter; sons, John Howard (Pat) Lott and Joe (Linda) Lott; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard W. Lott.

James Kevin Martin
Mr. James Kevin Martin, 36, of Ward, died Friday, Dec. 24, 2010.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Dec. 29, at 2 p.m. at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Edgefield.

Harold Waters Perry
Mr. Harold Waters Perry, 82, of Addison Street in Edgefield, husband of Marie Robertson Perry, died Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2010 at Edgefield County Hospital.
Funeral services were held Friday, Dec. 31, at 2 p.m. at Edgefield United Methodist Church. Burial was in Sunset Gardens Memorial Park in Edgefield with S.C. Highway Patrol honors.
Mr. Perry was born in Saluda and was a member of Edgefield United Methodist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Force. He was a retired sergeant with the S.C. Highway Patrol with 35 years service.
Sin addition to his wife, survivors include two sons, Mike (Ginger) Perry, North Augusta, Coby Perry, Edgefield; four grandchildren, Jenny Lindon, Carrie Evans, Corbin Perry, and Collin Perry; two sisters, Grace Givens and Shirley Padgett, both of Lexington; a brother, James "Skeet" Perry, Lexington.

Mary B. Riley
Mrs. Mary B. Riley, 87, wife of the late John Riley of Edgefield Road in North Augusta, died Thursday, Dec. 23, 2010 at her residence.
Her Funeral Mass and Prayer Vigil were celebrated Wednesday, Dec. 29, at 10 a.m. at St. Edward Catholic Church, with Father Peter Clark as celebrant. Burial was in Pineview Memorial Park.
Additional survivors include three sons, Pat Riley, Johnny Riley, and Tommy Riley; one daughter, Catherine Riley; two brothers, Patsy Butts Sherlock and Matt Butts Sherlock; and one sister, Betty Ann Carroll.

Willie T. “Buddy” Robinson
Mr. Willie T. "Buddy" Robinson, 60, of Bryant Avenue in Belvedere, died Dec. 26, 2010 at University Hospital in Augusta, Ga.
Funeral services were held Friday, Dec. 31, at 2:30 p.m. at Mt. Canaan Baptist Church, with the Rev. Reginald White officiating. Burial was in Springfield Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Robinson, a native of Edgefield County, attended Springfield Baptist Church in Edgefield. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Thomas Robinson; a daughter, Amanda (Christopher) Skinner, Greenville; three sons, Willie T. (Angela) Robinson, Jr., Augusta, Ga., Willie A. (Wendy) Robinson and Jackie Thomas, Kileen, Texas; his parents, Isaac T. and Willie M. Hillary Robinson, North Augusta; five sisters, Clementine Jennings, Barbara A. Robinson, Bernice (Carl) Houston, Mattie P. (Charles) Henderson and Robbie Franklin, North Augusta; three brothers, Jessie J. James ‘Jimmy” Heber Satcher Jr.
Graveside funeral services for Mr. James ‘Jimmy” Heber Satcher Jr., 76, of Johnston, were held at Mt. of Olives Cemetery on Tuesday, Jan. 4, at 11 a.m.
Mr. Satcher was born in Savannah, Ga., a son of the late James H. Sr. and Mary Wright Satcher. He was owner of Jim Satcher Motors, Inc. and was involved in many organizations including the Gamecock Club, Ridge Fishing Club, was a member of Kadosh Masonic Lodge #154, the Board at First Citizens Bank and the Board at Johnston United Methodist Church where he was a member, and also, Board Member of Southeast Advertising for Chrysler Motor Company.
Survivors include sons, James H. “Chip” Satcher III (Gigi) and David Sanford Satcher (Michelle); daughters, Mary Elizabeth “Lisa” Smith (Bill), Sherry Lyn Satcher, Katey Satcher Felts (Jase), and Harriet Bess Satcher; a brother, Benjamin W. Satcher; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and special friend, Dottie Barton.

Cayden Gregory Shaffer
Cayden Gregory Shaffer, infant son of Greg and Shannon Shaffer, of North Augusta, died Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2010 at University Hospital in Augusta, Ga.
Additional survivors include three brothers, Kameron, Tyler, and Parker; his paternal grandparents, Richard and Wendi Shaffer of Edgefield; his maternal grandparents, William and Victoria Andrews of Clarks Hill, Elizabeth Barfield of Grovetown, Georgia; and his aunts, uncles and cousins.
The memorial service will be announced at a later date.

Wilson Lee Strom Jr.
Mr. Wilson Lee Strom Jr., 55, of Edgefield, died Saturday, Jan. 1, 2011.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Jan. 6, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Edgefield First Baptist Church, with burial in Sunset Gardens Memorial Park.
Mr. Strom was a native of Edgefield County and was of the Baptist faith. He was a technical service manager at Milliken Company with 32 years of service and was the owner of the Edgefield Billiard Parlor. He was a graduate of Clemson University with a bachelor of science degree in business administration. He was a member of the Sigma Nu fraternity.
Survivors include his mother, Doris Hudson Strom, Edgefield; two brothers, James Robert(Susan) Padgett, Levittown, Pa., Jefferson Brooker Strom, Columbia; a sister, Libby (John) Strom- Eubanks, Edgefield; two nephews, Michael James( Leila) Padgett, Greenville, Zachery Lee (Sharon) Padgett, Pa..; two great-nephews, Tristan Joseph and Kieran James Padgett, both of Pa.
Mr. Strom was predeceased by his father, Wilson Lee Strom Sr.

Lillie Mae Waldo
Funeral services for Ms. Lillie Mae Waldo, of North Augusta, were held Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Pine Hill Baptist Church, with the Rev. Jerome Coleman, pastor, officiating. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Johnston.
Survivors include three sons, Bernard Waldo and Gerald Waldo, both of New Brittian, Conn., and Marvin Waldo, Augusta, Ga.; six sisters, Pernell Young, Hannah (Willie) Darby, Mattie (Bancroft) Hall, Mary (George) Robbs, all of Connecticut, Edna Mathis, North Augusta, and Deborah Waldo, Pennsylvania; four brothers, Johnny Williams and James Waldo, both of Aken, Johnny Frank Waldo, New Jersey, and Horace Waldo, Connecticut; three grandchildren, Raneesah Waldo, Rasheenah Waldo and Elijah Waldo; and two great-grandchildren.
