The third annual “Peachiest of Edgefield County” ballots are now available for citizens to vote on awards winners for the 2009 year.

The Edgefield County Chamber of Commerce in conjunction with local media outlets initiated the “Best of Edgefield” contest in 2007, in which area citizens were able to vote for their favorite county businesses.  Modeled after the “Best of Augusta” and the similar “Best of Aiken” promotion, the local version was dubbed the “Peachiest of Edgefield County”.

Winners of each category will be announced during the Edgefield County Chamber’s annual banquet to be held in January.  Businesses can proudly display their “Peachiest” designation inside their place of business.  
    
“Peachiest” ballots in this week’s editions of The Citizen-News can be clipped for voting purpose use.  Ballots are also available at the Edgefield County Chamber of Commerce, SRP Federal Credit Union, First Citizens Bank (Johnston & Trenton) and Regions Bank (Johnston & Edgefield).  Remember to state full name of the establishment you are selecting on ballot.  After completing the ballots, return them to the participating businesses listed above or mail to the Chamber office@ 416 Calhoun Street, Johnston, SC 29832.   

Ballots must be received at participating establishments by December 10th, 2009.
