Henry McMaster announces statewide grassroots leadership team
Attorney General is first candidate with statewide organization, 102 campaign co-chairs in 46 counties
COLUMBIA, S.C. – Henry McMaster's gubernatorial campaign today became the first to announce its statewide grassroots leadership team. With 102 county co-chairs from all 46 counties across the state, the attorney general's grassroots leadership team will spearhead local organizing efforts, work with conservative activists and Republican leaders to spread the attorney general's conservative message and turn out voters for the attorney general.
"It's going to take hard work from dedicated leaders to put South Carolina back on the Path to Prosperity,” said McMaster. “We have assembled a formidable grassroots leadership team of battle-tested Republican leaders who share our conservative values and know what it takes to win elections."
Charleston County Co-Chair Cyndi Mosteller, former Charleston County Republican Party chair, said, “Henry McMaster has the executive experience and conservative conviction needed to create prosperity by bringing about comprehensive tax reform, reining in wasteful spending and making state government more efficient. He will be a governor that South Carolina families – including mine – can be proud of.”
Pickens County Co-Chair Neil Smith, who chairs Pickens County Council said, “As Ronald Reagan’s first U.S. Attorney and our state Attorney General, Henry McMaster has brought people together to get positive results for South Carolina and make our state safer. Henry’s cooperative and enthusiastic leadership style makes him uniquely qualified to serve as our next governor. Henry is the best man for the job and that is the reason that I am supporting him.”
Chester County Co-Chair Alex Stroman, former Teenage Republican State Chair and USC’s immediate past Student Body Vice President, said, “Henry McMaster has developed an innovative plan to create jobs, improve education and offer a better quality of life for every South Carolinian.”
Spartanburg County Co-Chair S. Deane Brown, who is Spartanburg County Republican Party Vice Chair, said, “It’s rare today to find a leader like Henry McMaster who possesses the courage, integrity, maturity and judgment required to make the tough decisions that South Carolina’s next governor will have to make.”
