Each Day of Life

Each day is a new beginning to live a better way
And newer chance for winning the gifts for which we pray
And a day to better serve and share as God would have us to do
And better pave the days ahead for God's blessings anew.
It is a fresh beginning God grants with every dawn
To make amends for sinning and live a life reborn
And a newer chance to better do the deeds that earn God's grace
And better prove our Christian faith within God's love embrace.
I love to sit at close of day and live the day anew.
I find the times I've done my best have been so very few.
I breathe a prayer to God above that I may careful be
To see the opportunities that God designed for me.
I like to face the dawn of day with gladness in my heart
And when there's need for words of cheer I want to do my part.
A prayer with God will show me where I failed along the way.
Tis then I thank God for guiding me each and every night and day.
