Virginia Page Butts and Brenton Rawl Timmerman were united in marriage at 6 p.m. on Saturday, March 28, 2009 at First Presbyterian Church in LaGrange, Ga. Dr. Douglas DeCelle officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Franklin Butts of LaGrange. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Mary Page Holle and the late Mr. William Frederick Holle Jr., and Col. James Travis Butts and the late Mrs. Hilda Seagraves Butts, all of LaGrange.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Rawl Timmerman of Martinez, Ga. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Pierce Gordon Perry of Augusta, Ga. and Mrs. Kathleen Rawls Knowles and the late Mr. Robert Goodwin Timmerman of Edgefield.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose her sister, Emily Holle Butts of LaGrange, to serve as her maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Amanda Long Butts, Sarasota, Fla., sister-in-law of the bride; Keleigh Mills Holle of LaGrange, cousin of the bride; Brittany Nicole Hobbs, Mary Frances Johnston, Laura Lynn Keese, Hannah Elizabeth Teaver, Jennifer Leigh Turner, all of LaGrange; and Jennifer Ann Hollifield, Hayesville, N.C.
