AIKEN – Not only is Aiken Regional Medical Centers Aiken’s community hospital but also strives to be an active corporate citizen helping the community whenever possible.  

On September 1 we kicked-off our annual United Way campaign, but 2010 was different; we raised the bar in an effort to raise $35,000.  

Each year the current Ambassador class at ARMC leads the fundraiser.  

“Throughout the year our class members become very close learning everything about the hospital but this campaign gives us the opportunity to have fun and be creative while helping out our community”, said Brittni Everhardt, 2011 Ambassador member.  

The campaign ended on Thursday, October 14 with the United Way Café in the cafeteria, raffling off all of the donated gifts provided by businesses throughout Aiken.  Raising just over 80% of our goal, ARMC donated over $28,000 to the United Way.
